Downloading, deleting, and disabling automatic Zoom meeting recordings

Download a cloud recording

To download a cloud recording in Zoom, follow these steps.

  1. Sign in to the Zoom Web Portal at zoom.us
  2. In the left navigation bar, click Recording & Transcripts, then click Cloud Recordings. 
  3. To the right of each recording you want to download, click the dropdown menu titled More and then select the Download option. If an audio file (m4a) and a captioning file (vtt) is available for your recording, they will be downloaded as separate files
  4. To upload to Kaltura see How to Add a Video to Kaltura's My Media.

Delete a cloud recording

To delete a cloud recording, follow these steps.

  1. Sign in to the Zoom Web Portal at  zoom.us
  2. In the left navigation bar, click Recording & Transcripts, then click Cloud Recordings. 
  3. To the right of each recording you want to delete, click the dropdown menu titled More and then select the Delete option.
  4. Click Yes to confirm you want to delete the recording.
    Note: You will be able to recover and retain any deleted files from the Zoom Trash folder for 30 days.

Disable automatic recording meeting setting

To review and adjust your recording setting, follow these steps.

  1. Sign in to the Zoom Web Portal at zoom.us
  2. Click Settings on the left navigation bar.
  3. Click Recording in the top navigation bar.
  4. Click the toggle to disable Automatic recording.
