If you are experiencing Global Protect issues where it is constantly trying to connect even when you are not wanting it to please try the following steps.
- Download the installer from
GlobalProtect-6.2.8-c948.pkg
-
Open the installer once it has finished downloading, and proceed through the installation.
- On the Installation Type step, be sure to check the box next to "Uninstall". We need to uninstall before proceeding with the install.
- Go through the process of uninstalling the application.
-
Open the installer once again and proceed through the installation.
- On the Installation Type step, be sure to check the box next to "GlobalProtect System extensions". The GlobalProtect client will not work if you do not install this system extension.
-
Once GlobalProtect has finished installing, you can open it from Spotlight.
- When you open the GlobalProtect client for the first time, you may be prompted to modify your Mac's security settings. The GlobalProtect client will not work if you do not follow these prompts.
- Enter gateway.colostate.edu in the Portal field and click the Connect button.
- Before the GlobalProtect client can finish connecting, you will need to authenticate with Duo.
- When GlobalProtect says "Connected", you may now use the VPN.
